Why Does God Acquire a Normal Body When Appearing on Earth?

A central question in theology is how an infinitely powerful Creator can interact with mortal human beings. The Vedas explicitly describe the Supreme God—Kavir Dev (Kabir)—as an embodied Being (Sakar) whose celestial form shines with blinding effulgence.

Yet, when He descends to Earth, He does not manifest in His unshielded glory. The Samveda, Rigveda, and Yajurveda explain that God deliberately veils His immense radiance, adopting a fainter, human-like appearance (Manushvat / Narvat).

A. To Protect Mortal Physical Senses

Human physical eyes (charm drishti) are constructed from perishable, material elements (Panch Tattva). They are biologically incapable of taking in pure spiritual light of such high intensity. By covering His overwhelming effulgence, God protects humans from physical blindness or sensory paralysis.

B. To Enable Relatable, Fearless Interaction

If God appeared as a towering, blinding sun, human beings would flee in terror or fall unconscious, making spiritual instruction impossible. By veiling His light and adopting a simple human shape (Yajurveda Adhyay 7, Mantra 39), He creates an approachable, peaceful atmosphere where seekers can sit near Him, ask questions, and listen to His teachings.

C. To Deliver True Spiritual Knowledge (Tatvgyan)

Samveda Utrarchik Mantra 1400, Adhyay 12, Khand 3, Mantra 5 explicitly confirms that God covers His blinding light with a fainter body of light so that He can move among humanity as a spiritual teacher (Satguru). In this accessible form, He delivers discourses (Pravache — Rigveda 9.95.2) and sings divine poetry (Kavirvani).
