The Kurma Purana is one of the 18 major Puranas. It relates to the 2nd avatar of Lord Vishnu when he appeared as "Kurma",a Tortorise. It is presented as a direct discourse from Lord Vishnu in his Kurma form to the sage Narada. Kurma refers to the giant tortoise who famously held up a mountain during the churning of the ocean.

एवं ब्रह्मा च भूतानि वासुदेवोऽपि शंकरः ।
कालेनैव तु सृज्यन्ते स एव ग्रसते पुनः ॥ १९ ॥
अनादिरेष भगवान् कालोऽनन्तोऽजरोऽमरः ।
सर्वगत्वात् स्वतन्त्रत्वात् सर्वात्मासौ महेश्वरः ॥ २० ॥
English Translation
Thus Brahma, living beings, Vasudeva (Vishnu), and Shankara (Shiva) are all created by Kaal alone, and Kaal alone swallows (destroys) them again. This Lord Kaal is beginningless, endless, decay-less, and immortal. Because He is all-pervading, independent, and the soul of all, He is called Maheshvara (the Supreme Lord).

ब्रह्माणो बहवो रुद्रा ह्यन्ये नारायणादयः ।
एको हि भगवानीशः कालः कविरिति श्रुतिः ॥ २१ ॥
English Translation
There are many Brahmas, many Rudras, and many others like Narayana. However, the Supreme Lord is only one, who is known as Isha (Ruler), Kaal, and Kavi (the Seer/Poet Kabir Sahib)—this is the opinion of the Vedas (Shruti).
